- Confident product investment through a user-centered pivot
Challenge
The client assumed that users needed help finding their bathroom style before starting the actual planning process. The internal team wanted to test whether it was worth investing in a dedicated “style finder” tool.
Our solution
We built a prototype of the client’s concept and conducted a user lab to test it. The process combined a usability test with in-depth qualitative interviews to uncover real user behavior and needs.
The outcome
We discovered that users weren’t struggling with inspiration itself, but rather with turning that inspiration into a concrete bathroom plan.
As a result, the client made a strategic pivot: focusing instead on building a combined solution that supports both inspiration and actionable planning steps.

Challenge
The client saw business potential in enabling users to sell their cars directly to dealerships and sought a clear validation of this idea before scaling.
Our solution
We developed an MVP that allowed users to evaluate their vehicles and book appointments with dealerships. This made the core user journey testable with minimal investment.
The outcome
The MVP showed a high adoption rate, validating both the user value and business opportunity. As a result, the product was fully rolled out and has since become one of the most significant revenue drivers (C2B) for mobile.de.
betzold- Product-Market Fit Validation
Challenge
The client had an idea for a subscription program aimed at helping teachers get better delivery terms for their recurring purchases. However, they were unsure whether the idea was commercially viable and sustainable.
Our solution
We conducted a product-market fit analysis in several steps.
First, we researched the target audience and calculated a business case for each segment. We then selected the group with the strongest potential and identified their Jobs to Be Done.
Next, we created a smoke test for the subscription offer to measure adoption rates and refine the business case accordingly.
The outcome
By combining qualitative and quantitative research with lean experimentation, we delivered clear proof of whether the idea truly matched market needs – enabling the client to make an informed decision.
